She also attended the University of Nevada School of Medicine and did three additional years of graduate research in the Cell and Molecular Biology program in a Mycology lab.
She then completed a Family Medicine Residency at Exempla St Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She and her family then moved to Washington state, where she spent the first 14 years working as a Family Physician in rural and underserved settings. She spent six of those years working as a faculty member in an Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency, teaching new doctors how to do everything from interpreting imaging and injecting joints to delivering babies. She has also completed additional training to teach Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics to fellow physicians through AAFM.
Dr Friesen is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has completed additional training in ultrasound and fluoroscopic (real time X Ray) injections. She has been doing complex musculoskeletal injections for many years and would frequently teach the residents about injecting joints, bursas, tendons, and muscles using patient anatomy and imaging guidance. She has been providing stem cell treatments in western Washington since late 2018 working with Dr Tami Meraglia of “The Healing Miracle ” video series.
Though Dr. Friesen is trained in conventional Western Medicine, she fully accepts and practices Biological and Bioregulatory Medicine as well as all of our methods used at the Biologix Center. She feels incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to provide stem cell treatments for our patients because she believes that stem cell treatments will absolutely change the way we practice medicine in her lifetime. We are grateful to have her on our Nashville team and she feels honored to practice with us in our state-of-the-art facility.
